Help your professional to enhance your Oliva experience
At Oliva, we want to give you the best possible therapy or coaching experience. To achieve this, we kindly ask for your consent to process the data from 1-to-1 sessions between you and your mental health professional. It means they can spend less time taking notes—and more time focussing on you.
What you are consenting to
By allowing our request, you are consenting to the processing of your session data for the following purposes:
Transcription: converting the audio from your session into a text transcript, with each speaker distinctly identified.
Summaries: generating a structured summary of your session from the transcript. This helps your professional to craft clinical notes.
Quality assurance: reviewing session transcripts to ensure that our professionals consistently deliver a high-quality service that’s tailored to your needs. Please note that any handwritten notes taken by your professional may still be accessed by the professional and by their supervisor even if session summaries are turned off. This is because this may be required in some circumstances for the purpose of supervising care.
Personal development: producing an overview of key points and learnings from the session to be shared privately with you. This will allow for you to review agreed tasks and exercises, and reflect on pivotal discussion points between sessions.
The value of your consent
Your consent of data processing allows for the following:
Enhanced support: your professional can fully immerse themselves in your sessions, since they can depend on automated, structured summaries to craft clinical notes later.
Improved experience: you can focus on your session without the need to take notes as the summaries will be available in your account after each session.
Thank you for supporting your professional, investing in your own mental health, and enhancing your Oliva experience.
Your privacy matters to us
Your data will be handled with utmost care, ensuring security and confidentiality at all times. Only your professional, their supervisor, and the Oliva care team can access it on a need-to-know basis for the purpose of supervising care.
If you choose not to consent
You can opt out of processing your 1-to-1 session data by not allowing our request when prompted. You can continue engaging in 1-to-1 sessions, and your data will not be processed.
How to change your preferences
To edit your data processing settings, log into your Oliva account, go to your profile, and scroll down to the Permissions section. These settings can be changed at any time.
